About us

Founded in 1939 by Gérard Frenette, Frenette Funeral Home is established in Lewisville to better serve the population in Moncton.

In 1960, with the help of his son Jean and daughter Simonne, Gérard decides to move the family business on St. George Street (across from the Cathedral) to move it again, this time in 1963 where we are located to this day at 88 Church Street. In 1964 they then established a funeral home in Shediac to welcome the population in the counties of Westmorland and Kent.

In the 1990's, Jean's sons, Jean-Marc and Yves, bought the family business. They add our third location in Cap-Pelé to assure a quality funeral service for the people of Beaubassin East.

In 2004, Nicholas, son of Yves, becomes the fourth generation funeral director to join the family business.

In 2019, Jean-Marc and Yves take the decision to pass the torch to people who are not family by blood, but rather by heart. Being a part of the family team since 1988, Guy Belliveau, alongside his cousin Marc Melanson, deliver today the quality service the communities of our three locations have come to expect with Frenette funeral services.
