Richard Chandler, 53, of Grand-Barachois, passed away
unexpectantly on Monday, August 24, 2026, at home. Born in Kitchener
(ON), he was the son of Stewart (Nancy) and Elaine
Chandler.
Richard worked in IT, in the Global Service Network Team
(GSN) for AGFA Healthcare.
He was a loving husband and a devoted dad. He loved spending
time with his family, doing different outdoor activities, exploring
and outings. He loved helping his wife and his kids with
whatever they needed. He would do anything for them, like
listen, and provide emotional, physical and financial support. He also
liked to joke around and make people laugh. Richard loved his kids and
was still a big kid at heart.
Some of his interests were reading history and sci-fi books
(by Stephen King), playing online video games and spending valuable
time with family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lisa; his three
sons: Benjamin (Sarah Vallee), Joshua and Kevin, who all live in
Grand-Barachois; and also, two brothers: Ken Chandler and Chris
Chandler, both from Ontario.
He was predeceased by his brother Kevin
Chandler.
Rick’s in-laws treated him well and respected him
from day one. His mother-in law used to say to him, "you are like
a son to me". They will miss him dearly along with his nieces and
nephews.
The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on
Tuesday September 1st, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00
