Yvon Maillet, 77, of Cambridge Street, Moncton, passed away Wednesday April 7, 2004 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born October 14, 1926 in Sainte-Marie, he was the son of the late Antoine, and Marie-Jeanne (Babineau) Maillet.

He was a retired employee with Co-op Atlantic, and a member of the Parkton Golden Age Club.

He is survived by his wife, Géraldine (Girouard) Maillet, six children: Alfred (Dorothy), Vern (Linda), Clarence (Cheryl), Gilles (Annette), and Terrance all of Moncton, Diane Denis (Serge) of Ottawa, a sister Lina LeBlanc (late Éric) of Sainte-Marie, three brothers: Lionel (Léa), and Gérard (Roseline) both of Saint-Antoine, Alderice (Laurise) of Irishtown, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by a son Gérald, an infant Vernon; two sisters: Marie, and Irene; 4 brothers: Rev. Alfred, Ernest, Baptiste, and Eddy.

Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 7-9 p.m., Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Saturday from 8h45 until time of departure (9:30). The funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) Saturday April 10, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
