We are
deeply saddened to announce the tragic and unexpected passing of Logen
Butler, 18, of Moncton, on Monday, October 5, 2026. Born in Amherst,
he was the son of Nicole (Adams) Butler and Mark
Butler.
Logen was
quiet and reserved, but once he started talking, especially about
something he enjoyed, he would talk your ear off. While still deciding
what he wanted to do after high school, he became interested in
starting his own flooring business and often talked about it. He
looked forward to and shared plans about buying his first home. He
loved gaming and anime, and he always wanted his aunt to take him
shopping for speakers so he could play his favourite music loudly. He
had an entrepreneurial spirit, a unique sense of fashion, and looked
forward to what was next. Sadly, that was not to
be.
Besides
his parents, he is survived by his sisters: Addison of Moncton, NB,
and Brooke-Lynn; his niece, Salem Lynn, of Debert, NS; brother,
Isaiah; maternal grandfather, Wayne Adams, of Five Islands, NS;
maternal grandmother and grandfather, Angela and Jamie Corbett, of
Five Islands, NS; special aunt, Kortney Adams; brotherly cousins
Keiland Stevens and Kobe Francis, all of Halifax, NS, whom he enjoyed
staying with whenever he could; aunt, Lacey Adams, of Halifax, NS; as
well as many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and
friends.
Logen
was predeceased by his maternal
great-grandparents, Christa and Garnet Gouchie of Amherst,
NS.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton, where funeral visitation
will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 2 pm until the
funeral. The funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday,
October 14, 2026. Logen will be returned home for burial in Five
Islands, NS. In memory of Logen, contributions can be made to Youth
Quest Moncton.
