Patricia Murray, 92, formerly of Dieppe, passed away
peacefully on Saturday October 3, 2026 at Le P’tit Chez-Nous
residence in Grande-Digue. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of
the late Francis and Dessie (Cormier) Léger.
Patricia was a hardworking and caring woman who had a special
love for children and babies. She later returned to her
parents’ home with her children to care for them, and in
time, lovingly cared for her grandchildren. Family was always at the
heart of Patricia’s life. She had a love for music and
always enjoyed having it playing in the home. It was not uncommon to
catch Patricia dancing in the living room, a simple and joyful
expression of her vibrant spirit and love of life.
She is survived by three children: John of Elgin,
Grégoire "Greg" (Dianne) of Notre-Dame and
Patricia "Patty" Cormier (Jean) of Memramcook; two
grandchildren: Gabrielle and France; three step-grandchildren: Luc,
Mario and Jules; three great-grandchildren: Mila, Léo and
Bruno; four step-great-grandchildren: Alexie, Marc, Derick and
Jessica; one sister, Doris Poirier (Donald) of Grande-Digue; one
brother, Raymond (Doris) of Moncton, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters:
Anita, Adrienne and Alice; four brothers: Alfred, Léo,
Father Omer and Arthur.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday October 6 at 11:30 am.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment
will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of
Patricia, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be
appreciated.
