At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, on Thursday, October 1,
2026, Norbert Richard, 83, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away. He was
the son of the late Aldéric "Déri" and
Agnès (Cormier) Richard.
Before his retirement, Norbert worked as a paving roller
operator for A. Leblanc Paving.
Norbert greatly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He
particularly enjoyed playing golf, watching sports on television, and
relaxing on his swing. He also enjoyed going for drives around the
village. He deeply cherished his family, especially the many trips
they shared together. A man of great faith, Norbert found much comfort
and strength in his spirituality and his faith in
Jesus.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Florence of
Haute-Aboujagane, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage; his
daughter, Lise LeBlanc (Serge) of Cap-Pelé; his son, Samuel
of Haute-Aboujagane; one sister, Florence LeBlanc (Valmond Boudreau)
of Shediac; two grandchildren: Randy (Chelsey) and Corey; and two
great-grandchildren: Maddie and Hunter.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son Georges;
his brothers and sisters: Lucie Boudreau, Adrice, Arthur, Yvon,
Éric, Ulysse, Rose LeBlanc, Huberte Bouque, Yvonne
Léger, Dorilla Dallaire, Émerise Porelle,
Camille, Alyre, Dorice Richard and Marie Richard; as well as one
sister (in infancy).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Tuesday, October 6,
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday, October 7, from 10 to 10:45
a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of
Frenette Funeral Centre. The funeral service will be streamed

on the Frenette Website. Interment will take place
at Sacré-Coeur Cemetery in Haute-Aboujagane.
