At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton, Ubald Léger, 90, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Vital and Irène (Léger) Léger.

Ubald greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and their dogs: Loulou, Daisy and Dixie, who adored him. He was a fun-loving man who enjoyed teasing others and making them laugh. The family finds comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his children: Michel and Odette.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Huberte "Betty" (58 years of marriage); his son, Daniel (Louise Jacob) of Haute-Aboujagane; his brothers and sisters: Clarice (Albertina) of Cap-Pelé, Jean (Diane) and Oscar (Rosaline), both of Haute-Aboujagane, Marie Melanson (Gerry Léger) and Andréa Chevarie (Edouard), both of Shediac, and Annette Cormier (Ulysse) of Cap-Pelé; his grandchildren: Danie (François), André (Jessica), and Jolin (Meghan); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Michel (1977); his daughter, Odette (1967); as well as his brothers: Gilles and Armand (at a young age).

In keeping with Ubald’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Saint-Henri Cemetery in Barachois.

In memory of Ubald, a donation to the St-Henri Cemetery of Barachois would be appreciated.
