Elizabeth Buote, 88, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday September 20, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Léo and Lorette (Poirier) Arsenault.

She is survived by three children: Nicole LeBlanc (late Henri), Bernard (Diane) and Charline Martin (late Armand); seven grandchildren: Marc, Stephanie, Mathieu, Karelle, Mélanie, Joline and Nathalie; four great-grandchildren: Emma, Jacob, Mélodie and Julie; 10 sisters: Georgina Melanson (Alcide), Marie-Anne Gallant (late Raymond), Rita Léger (Alfred), Imelda Duplessis (late Pat), Stella Doiron (Léandre), Jeanne Roy (Emile), Alfreda Doiron (late Hector), Noella Martin (René), Antoinette Doiron (Sandford) and Yolande Richard (Omer); cinq brothers: Louis, France (Lillianne), Gerard (Lucille), Réjean and Gilles (Simonne); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michel; one daughter, Gisèle; one infant son, Joseph; two brothers: Alfred and Eric.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Church, 858 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Monday September 28 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Elizabeth, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
