At Maison Providence Shediac, on Friday, September 4, 2026, Rita LeBlanc passed away at the age of 95. Born in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Élise (Haché) Caissie.

Rita is survived by her two daughters: Linda LeBlanc (Bill Dawson) of Grande-Digue, and Brenda Poirier (Yvon) of Brooks AB; her grandchildren: Sophie Poirier of Brooks AB, Erika Dawson (Bryan) of Shediac River, and Cédrick Poirier (Brooke) of Okotoks AB; as well as a cousin whom she considered a brother, Alphonse Richard (Linda Tiner) of Hebron, Maine.

She was predeceased by her husband, Émile, in 2025, with whom she shared seventy-one beautiful years of marriage; by her sister, Irène Richard (late Alonzo), in 2017; and also by a grandson, Justin (2000).

In keeping with Rita’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.

In memory of Rita, a donation to the Activities Department at Maison Providence or to the NB Lung (formerly the NB Lung Association) would be appreciated.
