At Maison
Providence in Shediac, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Germaine
Cormier, 89, of Cap-Pelé, passed away. Born in
Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth
(Brun) Brun.
She is survived
by her daughter, Jeanne (Ronald) Duguay, and her son, Maurice (Sylvie)
Cormier, both of Cap-Pelé; two grandchildren: Sophie
(Ricky) Robichaud and Maxime Cormier; her siblings: Edna LeBlanc of
Moncton, Albertine Hogan (Jack) of Riverview, and Gérald of
Moncton; as well as a brother-in-law, Joseph Junior Gaudet of
Moncton.
She was
predeceased by her husband, Paul (2014); an infant daughter, Sonia;
one sister and three brothers: Émilia Gaudet, Tilmon,
Adélard, and Désiré; as well as two
infant sisters: Jeanne and Bertha.
The family would
like to thank the staff of Maison Providence Shediac for the
exceptional care provided to Germaine.
In keeping with
Germaine’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the
funeral home. The funeral service will be held at
Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Church, 2648
Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September
5. Interment will be in the parish
cemetery.
In memory of
Germaine, a donation of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
