Rhéal "Ray" Belliveau, 79, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday August 20, 2026 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Evariste and Eugénie (LeBlanc) Belliveau.

Ray had a passion for racing, cars and mechanics and loved to race his VW Beetle.

He is survived by three children: Danie LePrieur (Andy) and Luc Belliveau, both of Moncton, and Cristine Belliveau (Rick Cox) of Sainte-Marie; three grandchildren: Maxim, Zachary, and Annabelle; four step-great-grandchildren: Joseph, Jonathan, Jagger and Catherine; one sister, Camilla Belliveau of Moncton; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his good friend and mother of his children, Francine Belliveau (2024); one sister, Georgina (Louis-Philippe), and one aunt who was like a sister to him, Lorraine; and one brother, Elphège "Al".

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday September 16 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday September 16 from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in Shediac parish cemetery. In memory of Rhéal, a contribution to Eco Vision Memramcook (Artisan Workshop) would be appreciated.
