Maria Gallant, 73, of Moncton passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Leda (Bastarache) Lirette.

Prior to her retirement Maria worked as a nurse with the Salvation Army for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronald Gallant; her siblings: Thérèse, Annette and Alfred; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Maurice.

As per her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral centre and no funeral service.
