Wilma Burt, 70, of Moncton, passed away peacefully, at The Moncton Hospital on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar "Blackie" Martin and Margaret (Goguen) Thebeau.

Wilma cherished time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, going on long car rides, and gathering with loved ones to enjoy music, dancing, and laughter. Known for her kindness and generous heart, she was always there for anyone in need. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Wilma will be missed by her life partner, Tom Warner; her son, Roger Martin (Michelle) of Riverview; her granddaughter, Kennedy Stiles, three grandsons : Noah Martin, and twins, Zander and Tristan Stead; and two great grandchildren: Billie & Braxton; her niece Sonya (Aaron); five siblings: Vincent Martin, Jacqueline Martin Johnson, and Claudette Martin, all of British Columbia, Edgar Martin of Québec, and Joanne Thebeau of Moncton; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Michel "Michael" Martin; two sisters: Monique Thebeau and Ester Martin Gallant; two brothers: Roger Edgar Martin and Joseph Junior Thebeau.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday, August 20, from 2 to 4 pm only. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
