Sister Marguerite Sivret (Sr Marie-Eugène), ndsc, passed away following a life well lived on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 97 years of age and in the 74th year of her religious life. Born in Saint-Isidore, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Azilda (Cool) Sivret.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by three sisters-in-law: Gilberte (late Victor), Lovina (late Eugène) and Marguerite (late Norbert); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by six sisters: Thérèse, Hélène (bébé), Aurore (bébé), Marie, Rita and Régina; and seven brothers: Louis, Léon, Eustache, Gérard, Eugène, Victor and Norbert.

Sister Marguerite will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Motherhouse, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Wednesday, July 29, 3026 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm.  Visitations will start again on Thursday, July 30. 2026 from 9 am until the funeral mass.  The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in the Motherhouse chapel at 10 am.  The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent.  Interment will be in Memramcook.
