Gloria (Gallant) Allain, of Moncton, passed away on Friday July 24, 2026 at Pavillon Richard of Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Marguerite (Surette) Gallant.

Before her retirement, Gloria worked at Villa du Repos in the kitchen and in housekeeping. With a kind heart and boundless generosity, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, including offering many services to Villa du Repos residents after her retirement. Those who lived in the West Lane neighborhood, where she resided for many years, will remember her for her kindness, her willingness to help, and her genuine compassion for others.

She is survived by two sons: Charles and Bruce (Claudette); one grandson, Justin; one great-granddaughter, Faith; her Gallant family in-laws Laurie, Carol, June, Shirley, Dianne and Doreen; her Allain family in-laws Linda and Robert; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, André "Andy" (2016); one granddaughter, Amanda; five sisters: Violet, Doreen, Florence, Edna and Irene; and eight brothers: Eddy, Oscar, Roy, Ben, Paul, Norman, Bill and Eugene.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Wednesday July 29 at 11:30 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Gloria, a contribution to the Christ-Roi parish would be appreciated.
