At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton, on Friday, July 17, 2026, Rhéal Richard, of Shediac, passed away at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Mosley and Anna (Boudreau) Richard.

Before his retirement, Rhéal worked as a custodian for several years at Louis-J.-Robichaud School in Shediac.

Rhéal is survived by his sister, Claudette Lirette; a brother-in-law, Don Caissie; as well as a sister-in-law, Linda Scott (late Garth Anderson).

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Richard (2018).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre Shediac, on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Frenette Funeral Centre. Interment will take place in the Columbarium of Frenette Funeral Centre, Shediac.

In memory of Rhéal, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
