We lost our beloved Mom on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026. She passed away peacefully at the age of 96 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Maude (Bourgeois) Whalen.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Jack (2011); and by her brother Gary (2021).

She is survived by her three children: Lisa, Sherry (Jean) of Pointe-du-Chêne, and Harry (Carole) of Montreal. One brother Sydney (Margaret Joan) of California and sister-in-law Margrit of Montreal. She was the best Grandma to her three grandchildren: Nicholas, Anne-Marie and Philippe (Sandra) and three great-grandchildren James, Rose and Laura.

A native New Brunswicker, Wanda moved to Montreal in the 1970’s with her family. She returned to her favourite place Pointe-du-Chêne, in 2019. The last seven years have been filled with joy, laughter, beach time and of course, lots of seafood that was always shared with friends and family. She was blessed to have lived and been lovingly cared for at home these last few years.

As per Wanda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
