With great sadness, we announce the passing of Berthe Cormier, 88, of Moncton and formerly of Saint-Grégoire, on June 27, 2026 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-Grégoire, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Madeleine (Robichaud) Cormier.

Berthe was a graduate from Collège Notre-Dame-d’Acadie in Moncton and also received a diploma from Concordia University in medical archives. Berthe then began her career as a medical archivist at the Montréal Convalescent Hospital. After retirement, she moved back to Saint-Grégoire at the family home where she enjoyed walks, picking berries and many cups of tea.

Berthe leaves behind her sisters: Doris Fewer (late Ted), Leona LeBlanc (late Gerard), and Carmella, all of Riverview, and Odette of Moncton; her brother, Normand of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Anita; and three brothers: Adélard (Albertine), Emile (Maria) and Laurie (Irene).

We wish to thank the staff at the orthopaedic department 4E and palliative care units for the excellent care Berthe received.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday July 3 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be at Saint-Antoine parish cemetery. In memory of Berthe, a contribution to the Parkinson Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

Words of comfort and donations may be done at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
