Arthur Brun, 81, of Cap-Pelé, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, in Moncton. He was the son of the late Alfred and Phyllis (Goguen) Brun.

Arthur was a hardworking man with a deep love for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his greatest passions, and some of his happiest moments were spent in the woods or by the water, especially salmon and trout fishing. He shared these passions with his daughters, Louise and Monique, spending many years hunting and fishing together. Louise was one of his earliest companions on these adventures, while Monique remained his cherished hunting partner throughout the years. The memories they created together will be treasured forever. He also treasured the time he spent with his son, Marc, and his wife, sharing stories, laughter, and simply enjoying each other's company. Arthur was a proud sports fan who faithfully cheered on the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays. Above all, he loved his children deeply and would have done anything for them. His strength, kindness, unwavering love, and devotion to his family will never be forgotten.

Arthur will be dearly missed by his two daughters: Louise Brun (Billy Hodgson) of Shediac Cape and Monique Saulnier (Paul) of Cap-Pelé; his son, Marc Richard (Lisa) of Notre-Dame; his sister, Diane Hagglund of Thunder Bay, Ontario; his four brothers: Clarence (Alice) of Shediac, Edouard (Joanne) of Moncton, Norbert (Eva) of Grand-Barachois, and Paul of Vancouver; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as a special friend, Yvette McEwan of Portage.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lucie Richard (2010), as well as by his brother Hubert.

A private funeral service was held.

Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre (506-532-3297), 396 Main Street, Shediac.

In memory of Arthur, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
