With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Georges A. Boudreau, 72, son of the late Margo and the late Eric Boudreau, who passed away peacefully at the hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Georges was, above all else, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with those he loved, and his unwavering support, wisdom, and kindness created a foundation of strength for generations of his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gisèle (Mazerolle) Boudreau, three sons, Joël (Melissa), Mathieu (Chantal LeBlanc), André (Isabelle) of Shediac, NB, and one daughter Josée (Mathieu Gallant) of Mont-Carmel, PE; his sister Muriel Boudreau Leger and his brother Yvon Boudreau (Flora); nine adored grandchildren: Anabelle, Lexie, Miguel, Olivier, Mila, Bruno, Pascal, Yanick and Audrée; as well a large extended family.

Professionally, Georges built a distinguished career as a financial planner, but to those who knew him, he was much more than an advisor. He earned the trust and friendship of countless clients by offering not only sound financial guidance but also reassurance, compassion, and genuine care. Many who sought his expertise left with a lifelong friend.

His generous spirit extended well beyond his work. Georges believed deeply in giving back to his community and devoted countless hours to volunteer service throughout his life. Among the many causes he championed, none held a more special place in his heart than Maison Providence. His leadership and dedication were instrumental in overseeing the construction of a new nursing home for the people of Shediac, a lasting legacy that reflects his commitment to caring for others.

Georges will be remembered for his generosity, his love of life, his dedication to family, and his desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him. His quiet strength, warm presence, and selfless heart touched many and will be deeply missed.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his mother-in-law (Angie) and father-in-law (Raymond), and a beloved nephew (Maxime).

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the memories he gave us and the example he set through a life lived with integrity, compassion, and purpose. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), on Sunday, June 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m., and Monday, June 29th, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at St-Joseph Church in Shediac.
