
Alan Donald Freeman, 61, of Moncton, New Brunswick, died suddenly on June 14, 2026 at his home. Born in Leamington, Ont., Alan was the son of Judy (Raymont) Freeman of Ruthven, Ont., and the late Alan H. Freeman.
Alan "Chop" worked as a carpenter, and had a passion for music, playing both acoustic and electric guitar. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time fishing.
Alan’s life was marked by both challenges and triumphs. In his later years, he embraced sobriety with courage and dedication.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Alyssa (Kevin) and his granddaughter, Mina, of London, Ont.; his son, Aaron of Alvinston, Ont.; his former wife and mother of his children, Karen of Alvinston, Ont.; his brother, Dustan (Shay) and nephew Hugh of Essex, Ontario; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Besides his father, Alan was predeceased by his uncle Todd.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
