Edna Roy, 82, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday June 16,
2026 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-Charles, she was
the daughter of the late Valérie and Anna (Daigle)
Blanchard.
Her friends and family knew Edna as a kind and gentle soul,
always lending a hand when she could and providing comfort and
understanding in difficult times. She loved dancing, baking and
socializing with friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew
her.
She is survived by her husband for 63 years,
Régis; her daughter, Monique Roy of Montréal,
Qué.; five sisters: Emma Arsenault (late Zoël),
Jeannette Daigle (late Guy) and Régina LeBlanc (late Alfred
"Al"), all of Moncton, Antoinette Richard (André)
and Dina Pellerin (Hubert), both of Saint-Charles; four brothers:
Alphonse (Mary) of Blacks Harbour, Vital (Barbara) of Saint-Charles,
André (Eveline) of Nauwigewauk and Bernard (Tricia) of
Bocabec; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother,
Télésphore
"Télex".
The visitation and funeral mass will be celebrated at a later
date and will be announced. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary
cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Edna, a contribution to the Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated. Funeral
