At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Omer Bourque, 59, of Shediac, passed away. He was the son of the late Clairence et Elda (Boudreau) Bourque.

Born and raised in Pointe-du-Chêne, that’s where you could always find him, riding his scooter at the wharf, where he also did maintenance work. It was a place where he would meet with his many friends.

Omer is survived by his daughter Robin Bourque of Riverview, who was his greatest pride and joy; his brothers and sisters: Éric Bourque (Diane) of Cap-Pelé, Roger Bourque (Dorine) of Haute-Aboujagane, Diane Clements (Marcel) of Shediac, Rachel Clements (Guy) of Shediac, and Armand Bourque of Moncton; and also by his nephews and nieces: Corey Clements (Alysha Doiron), Matthieu Bourque, Lynn Clements, Jessica Gaudet (Jason), and Shawn Clements (Amy).

Omer was predeceased by his parents.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), on Tuesday, June 23, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Frenette Funeral Centre.

In memory of Omer, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
