Roger Leger, 74, of Cap-Pelé, passed away on
Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his residence. He was the son of the late
Gérard and Nathalie (LeBlanc) Leger.
Roger was a good father and a devoted grandfather. He was an
avid hunter and had a deep love for nature. Before his retirement,
Roger worked for Westmorland Fisheries as a Station Engineer for more
than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine (Richard) Leger; his
son, Luc (Ginette) of Cap-Pelé; his brothers and sisters:
Diana LeBlanc (late Clorice) of Haute-Aboujagane, Léo Leger
(Aldea) of Shediac, Donald Leger (Cécile) of
Haute-Aboujagane, Eva Bourque (Jean) of Grand-Barachois, Paul Leger
(Jacqueline) of Shediac, and Bernice Rousselle (late Aldoria) of
Cap-Pelé; four grandchildren: Emma, Cassidy, Bella, and
Sofia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters:
Julienne and Dorothy; and by his brothers: Louis and Emile (late
Marie).
A private funeral service was held.
In memory of Roger, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be
appreciated.
