It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Megan Jessica Elizabeth Lewis, who passed away unexpectedly in Moncton, New Brunswick, on May 30, 2026, at the age of 33.
Born on July 24, 1992, in Surrey, British Columbia, Megan entered the world with fiery red hair and a vibrant spirit to match. She had a contagious laugh, a kind heart, and a personality that could light up any room. Megan had a remarkable ability to connect with people and made friends wherever life took her.
After graduating from high school, Megan moved to Woodstock, New Brunswick, where she built a life and formed many lasting friendships. Whether in British Columbia or New Brunswick, those who knew Megan will remember her for her infectious laughter, her sparkling personality, and the joy she brought to the lives of others.
Megan left behind three children, Maddison, Javier, and Matiya, who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Tamara Lewis (Calvin Dunbar); her father, Reid Lewis of British Columbia; her sisters, Brianna Lewis and Rebecca Tapley (Adam); and her brother, Joshua Lewis. She also leaves behind two nieces, one nephew, her maternal grandmother, Dianna Smith, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends throughout New Brunswick and British Columbia who will miss her dearly.
Megan was predeceased by her beloved grandfather, Paul Smith, in 2016, and her cherished grandmother, Rae, in 2007. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Though her time with us was far too short, Megan’s warmth, laughter, and vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Victoria Drive Community Hall, 2026 E 43rd Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, on Saturday June 6 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, and a second Celebration of Life will be held in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 143 Charles Street, Woodstock, New Brunswick, on Sunday June 14 from 2 to 4 pm.
In memory of Megan, a contribution to Harvest House or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
