At her residence, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at
the age of 71, Claudine Fournier passed away peacefully surrounded by
her family. Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late
Damien Richard and the late Irène (Caissie)
Richard.
Before her retirement, Claudine was a dedicated
nurse for many years. She devoted her life to caring for others with
compassion, kindness, and boundless generosity. A deeply selfless
woman, she gave of herself freely and welcomed everyone without
judgment, offering a listening ear and an open
heart.
Her love for her family was at the center of
everything she did, and she treasured every moment spent with those
she loved.
Blessed with a contagious zest for life and a
radiant spirit, she knew how to appreciate both the simple and
extraordinary joys of life. Passionate about travel, she loved
discovering new places, creating cherished memories, and marveling at
the beauty of the world. A lover of nature, she found peace and
comfort by the ocean and in the majesty of the mountains. She could
often be found at the beach, with a book in hand, fully embracing the
beauty that surrounded her.
Her love, gentleness, quiet strength, and caring
presence will leave a lasting impression on the hearts of all who had
the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Fournier;
her children: Melissa Fournier of Notre-Dame, Mathieu (Jennifer) of
Stony Plain (AB), and Christian (the late Meagan) of Moncton; her
brothers and sisters: Paul (Blanche), Henri (Cécile),
Fidèle (Lucie), Joseph (Debbie), Daniel (Mona-Lisa),
Bertrand (Thérèse), Réjean (Sylvie),
Ronald (Monelle), Reginald (Charline), Ginette (Joël),
Christiane (Norman), and Normand; as well as her five grandchildren:
Kaeleb, Olivia, Ava, Mason, and Rowyn.
Besides her parents, Claudine was predeceased by
her sisters: Noreen Richard, Roseline Richard, and Lucille in
infancy.
In memory of Claudine, donations to the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Foundation (Oncology) would be
appreciated.
In accordance with Claudine’s wishes,
there will be no visitation or funeral
service.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main
