At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, on Monday, May 25, 2026, Raymond Donelle passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Born in Cormier-Village, he was the son of the late Thomas and Osithe (Richard) Donelle.

He would have done anything to help others. That was my dad. As a farmer, he was a hardworking man who never complained and always made the best of every situation. He loved everything about farming; it was his life. He always told me, "If you love what you do, your work is not a job." His greatest pride and joy was his granddaughter Natasha. Every time they were together, there was always laughter and jokes. Time spent with his family was also very important to him. You will be greatly missed by me, your granddaughter, and your daughter-in-law. When you see Mom, tell her we miss her too. Thank you for everything you did for me. "I love you, Dad."

Raymond is survived by his son Roy Landry (Pierrette) of St-André-LeBlanc; his granddaughter Natasha (Christine) of Moncton; and six brothers and sisters: Annie Donelle, Eva Melanson (late Alcide), and Marguerite Pinard (Georges), all three of Shediac, Lucie Cormier of Moncton, Cécile Surprenant (Guy) of Fredericton, and Dorice Simard (Denis) of Sept-Îles, QC.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Maria (2009); five sisters: Éveline Vienneau, Léonie Melanson, Emma Léger, May Landry, and Ida LeBlanc; as well as two brothers: Blair and Arthur.

The family would like to thank the staff of units 4D, 3E, and 3A for the exceptional care provided to Raymond.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Tuesday, June 2, from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be held in the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Cemetery, Cap-Pelé.

In memory of Raymond, a donation to the Dumont UHC Foundation (oncology) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
