It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Euclide Drisdelle on May 24, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, NB, Euclide was the son of the late Saül and Edna (Bourgeois) Drisdelle.
Known for his diligence and dedication, he devoted 39 wonderful years of his career to the New Brunswick Energy Power.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Angela (Goguen) Drisdelle. They were about to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. He also leaves behind his daughters: Lise Drisdelle-Cormier of Rothesay and Lynn Drisdelle-Leblanc of Saint John; his brother, Ola Drisdelle (Florence) of Haute-Aboujagane; his sisters: Elva Boudreau (Melas) of Haute-Aboujagane and Oliva Prud’homme (late Jean-Guy) of Valleyfield, QC; his grandchildren: Maxime Cormier (Chantal), Xavier Cormier, Gabriel Drisdelle-Leblanc, Adelle Drisdelle-Leblanc; his great-grandson, Isaac Cormier; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Euclide was predeceased by his brother, Father Normand Drisdelle, and his son-in-law, Denis Cormier.
Euclide was a deeply generous man, always ready to give his time, lend a helping hand, and be of service. A true handyman, he always found a solution for those in need. He greatly enjoyed people, gatherings, music, and conversations simply to understand and connect with others.
His kindness, availability, empathy, and big heart will leave a lasting mark on the lives of all who knew him.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, on Thursday, May 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service celebrated at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church in Shediac. Interment will take place at St-Joseph Cemetery in Shediac.
In memory of Euclide, donations to the Vestiaire St-Joseph Food Bank or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
