Carmella Horsman, 86, of Riverview, passed away on Saturday
May 17, 2026 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, Moncton. Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Hector E. Cormier and
Amélia Richard.
Carmella was retired from Sears.
She is survived by her sons: Ron (Heather) of Riverview, Marc
(Sharon) of Kingston, ON, and Rob of Moncton; her grandchildren: Evan,
Nicholas, Courtney, Alek, Cole, Chris and Tyler; her
great-grandchildren: Deakyn, Zandra, Avaya and Weston; as well as
several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Ronald Horsman; two sisters: Sr. Laura Cormier, n.d.s.c., and
Norma Parkhill; as well as four brothers: Robert, Aldé,
Albert and Hector, and two other brothers died in
infancy.
A private celebration of her life will take place at a later
date. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In
lieu of flowers a contribution to the CHU Dumont (Oncology Department)
or to Albert House – Hospice SENB would be appreciated by
the family.
