Michael Edward McLeod, 48, of Moncton and formerly of Saint
John, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 8, 2026. Born in
Saint John, he was the beloved son of Phyllis (Snider) McLeod and the
late Dennis McLeod.
Michael will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his
kind and gentle nature, as well as his easygoing sense of humor. He
had a quiet way of making people feel comfortable and cared for, often
lifting spirits with a simple joke, a shared laugh, or his warm smile.
His presence brought warmth, kindness, and a sense of ease to those
who knew him.
Family meant everything to Michael. In recent years, he
showed extraordinary selfless devotion in the care and support he gave
to his mother. His kindness and unwavering presence meant more than
words can express, and that love will always be remembered and
cherished.
He shared a very special bond with his sister, Tracy, and
took great pride in being an uncle to Emily and Lillian. His nieces
held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment spent
with them—whether it was sharing laughter, offering
guidance, or simply enjoying time together. The love he had for them
was constant and deeply felt.
He is survived by his loving mother, Phyllis; his sister,
Tracy Saunders (Jerry); his cherished nieces, Emily and Lillian; his
stepmother, Francine McLeod (Monique (John) and Marc (Crystal)
Pelletier); as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were
fortunate to know him and will miss him dearly.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Dennis McLeod; his
paternal grandparents, Edward and Winnie McLeod; and his maternal
grandparents, Clement "Jack" and Myrtle
Snider.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900), where the

John on June 8 at 11 am.
