It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Saulnier, 88, of Moncton, on Sunday May 10, 2026 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Notre-Dame, Yvonne was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Joséphine (Landry) LeBlanc.

Yvonne spent more of her life taking care of children as a nanny. She had a passion playing bingo and playing cards with her sisters. Before the end of her journey, Yvonne had taken a liking to karaoke, playing the spoons, late night bonfires, family gatherings, sitting outside and chatting away.

She will be sadly and deeply missed by her daughter, Denise Saulnier (René Dufresne); her son, Norman Saulnier; three estranged children: Jeannette, Roger and Phyllis; eight grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Laura LeBlanc of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Norbert (2022); four sisters: Rita LeBlanc, Lina Cormier, Ida Donovan and Rose LeBlanc; seven brothers: Lionel, Aurèle, Edmond, Henri, Alfred, Albert and Clovis.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday May 14 at 11 am.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Yvonne, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
