Sandra Vienneau, of Shediac, NB, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the age of 61, after a short battle with cancer.
Sandra was a loving mother to her sons: André (Danielle), Bobby (Nina), and Louis (Michelle). She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren: Amelie, Samuel, Julien, Simon, Mikah, and Maksim, who brought her immense pride and joy.
She was a cherished sister to: Rose (Mike), Paul (Edna), Raymond (Pauline), Ernie (Nathalie), Danny (Nicole), and Pauline (Maurice). She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Andrea; as well as her brother Roland. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Sandra leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and hold her close in their hearts.
Sandra dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She began her career helping elders at Maison Providence nursing home. She later became co-owner of the Coop Daycare in Shediac, where she cared for and guided many children and families. Sandra then returned to nursing home care, before ending her career, working at St-Joseph’s Parish.
Sandra had a true gift for kindness and compassion. She was selfless, caring, and always placed the needs of others before her own. She never wanted to trouble anyone and quietly gave of herself in countless ways. She found joy in writing and creating poems, cooking delicious meals, and helping those around her whenever she could. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the 4E Unit at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their kind and compassionate care during her last few days.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be held at Saint-Joseph Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11a.m.
In memory of Sandra, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph Food Bank Shediac would be appreciated.
