It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delisca Marie Ouellet (nee Courté) on April 1, 2026, with her loving brother Clairmont, her good friend Jeannita, and her caring niece Linda at her side, surrounding her with love and prayers.

Born in Shippagan, N.B., and raised in the small village of Saint-Arthur near Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Edouard Courté and the late Rebecca St. Pierre (Courté; nee Lumbsdon).  In her lifetime she moved several times - mainly Toronto and Oakville - where she and her husband Ulysse lived most of their lives. She went back to New Brunswick in her later years.

Delisca worked as a cashier at Dominion Supermarket in Oakville, and later worked for Red Cross helping the elderly.  She was caring, fun-loving and comical.  A gentle soul with a sweet humble nature.  She loved walking, scratching lotto tickets, a good cup of tea, and sweets.  She baked the best apple pies!   She loved music, singing and dancing, and just having a good time in the company of others.  She was a joy to be with, and had a smile that would light up a room.  Delisca, you were greatly loved, and will be deeply missed.

Survived and lovingly remembered by her sister Hilda Basque (late Leonard), her brother Clairmont Côté (Jeannita Cormier), and many cherished nieces and nephews, with special mention of her blessed godchildren, and also of Lulu’s daughters, Nicole and Michelle.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ulysse (1997), brother René, and sisters: Elisabeth, Rena, Marie-Mai and Roberta "Lulu".

The family would like to express sincere heartfelt gratitude for the amazing dedicated staff at the Manoir Pascal-Poirier in Shediac, and at Shannex Gordon Hall in Moncton, where she lived for the past several years. Your kindness, compassion and devotion are truly heartwarming.

Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date for her interment beside her husband Ulysse at Saint-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac. Delisca’s memory would best be honoured by a simple act of kindness to others.

Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
