Sister Majella LeBlanc, ndsc, passed away following a full and well-lived life on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 96 years old, including 70 years of religious life. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Alfred and Azélie (Landry) LeBlanc.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister, Cécilia LeBlanc (late Jean-Charles) of Dieppe, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers: Dollard, Léo-Paul, Ronald and Bernard.

Sister Majella will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Motherhouse, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday, April 7 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm and on Wednesday, April 8 from 9 am until the funeral mass.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 8, in the Motherhouse chapel at 10 am.  The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent.  Interment will be in Memramcook.
