It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that the family of (Richard) Ashley Flinn announce his passing on March 26, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital.

Ashley is survived by his son Rick Flinn (Rose); his daughter Kimberly Weber (Dan); his brother Stephen Flinn; his sister Carolyn Tyre; his grandchildren: Andrew Flinn (Taleah), Meaghan Flinn (Brent), Jackson Reid; and also, by several nieces and nephews.

Ashley was pre-deceased by his daughter Cheryl Reid (Andrew); his parents: Ralph and Grace (Hinchey); and by his siblings: Lorraine, Janice, Daryl, Kenneth, and Verna (Marchisio).

Ashley had a varied career beginning with loan officer at the Bank of Nova Scotia; part owner of Marcan Mobile Homes; Jostens, where he was first in sales, then Manager of Eastern followed by Western Canada.  Ashley then got into the bar business as owner or part-owner of The Oak Room, Bugaboo Creek Pub, The Library Lounge, Copperhead Pub in Lincoln and on the Hanwell Road.

Ashley was well known and liked for his gift of gab and sense of humor.  He always had a joke ready.  In 2015 he started attending the Crosspoint Church, and later became a member at Hope City Church, where he was baptized in 2022.

There will be a memorial service at Hope City Church, at 429 Clements Drive, in Fredericton, on Saturday, April 4, 2026.  Service will begin at 11:00, followed by a small reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or Hope City Church would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297).
