Denise Haché, aged 76, of Lakeville, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Born in Bertrand, NB, she was the daughter of the late Omer and the late Alvina (Landry) Haché.

Before her retirement, Denise worked for many years in the Patient Care Department at the Psychiatric Unit of the Campbellton Hospital. She also worked in fish plants in the Caraquet area. Denise was someone who loved working with her hands, such as painting and doing work on her home. She also loved making people laugh with her sense of humor.

She is survived by her partner of 33 years, Linda Hickey; their children: Nancy Hickey (Serge) and Kevin Hickey (Angie); seven grandchildren: Erica Hickey (Henri Thibeau), Brandon Lebouthillier, Chloey, Elody, Adam Hickey, Audrey Bertin Brown, and Tommy Bertin Brown; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Thibeau; her sister, Jeannine Haché (Michel Brunet) of Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC; her nieces and nephews and their children; as well as her cousin Marie-Ange Keighan (Rénald), who faithfully called her every day; many other cousins; her godson, Stéphane Haché (Céline); her goddaughter, Brigitte, daughter of Jeannine Haché; and her aunt Yolande of Montreal, her only surviving aunt.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Jean-Guy Haché; her nephew Éric Haché; as well as several uncles and aunts.

The family would like to thank the Extra-Mural Program for their home care and support; Integrity Home Care and Services, especially Marylyn; Medigas for oxygen services; and the doctors: Dr. Nicholas Finn, Dr. Robert Adams, and Dr. Manon Belliveau for their advice and exceptional care.

In keeping with Denise’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held in Bertrand, NB, at a later date (to be announced).

In memory of Denise, a donation to the family would be appreciated (donations may be made directly to the family or brought to the funeral home).

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, NB (506-532-3297).
