Alyre Noël Babineau, 63, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at his residence. Born in Moncton and raised in Acadieville, he was the son of the late Raoul and Anna (Richard) Babineau.

Alyre was a self-employed window cleaner for many years. We will remember him for his heart of gold and willingness to always be there for others when needed, as well as for his little jokes that he so proudly loved to tell to anyone he met.

He is survived by five sisters: Odette Maillet (Rhéal), Rosalie LeBlanc (Alphée) and Marielle LeBlanc (Claude), all of Acadieville, Berthe Blanchard (Clarence) of Kouchibouguac, and Claire Léger (Gilles) of Moncton; four brothers: Jean-Guy (Rina) and Gabriel (Gisèle), both of Saint John, Ronald (Lucie) of Rogersville, and Denis (Cynthia) of Aldouane; two godchildren: Sophie Blanchard and Michel Barrieau; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday March 20 from 6 to 8 pm and at the Immaculée-Conception Church Slumber room, 4049 Route 480, Acadieville on Saturday March 21 from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Immaculée-Conception Church in Acadieville on Saturday March 21 at 2 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Alyre, a contribution to the parish cemetery in Acadieville or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
