Georges Donald Cormier, 62, of Moncton, passed away on
Saturday March 14, 2026 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he
was the son of Doris (Bourgeois) Cormier of Moncton and the late
Ulysse Cormier.
Georges was a proud employee of the city of Moncton. He was
part of the Moncton Hawks organization in 1980 as a stick boy. A
natural joker, it was easy for him to make people laugh. He was a
devoted son to his mother and took great care of her.
Besides his beloved mother, he is survived by three siblings:
Emery (Francis) and Nicole Belliveau (François), both of
Moncton, and Monique Cormier (Bruce McLean) of Salisbury; two nieces:
Sophie and Josée; two nephews: Mathieu and Alex; as well as
several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by one sister, Denise,
and one brother, Daniel.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation
and no funeral service. A graveside service will take place at Our
Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe at a later date. In memory of
Georges, a contribution to Epilepsy Canada (www.epilepsy.ca)
would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional
care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton
(506-858-1900).
