Marcel Thibeault, 68, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Edmundston, he was the son of the late Lucien and Yolande (Bard) Thibeault.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Renée Boulanger; his son, Philippe Thibeault (Marie-Line); two grandchildren: Félix and Alex; his sister, Denise Thibeault (Marcel Tremblay); his sister-in-law, Marlaine St-Louis; his niece, Jessica; as well as his in-laws, his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Charles.

Marcel was a quiet, hardworking, and very generous man. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons, Félix and Alex, as well as working on small construction projects at his son Philippe’s home.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday April 17 from 6 to 8 pm only. There will be no funeral service. In memory of Marcel, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
