It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our
beloved mother, Angelina Mercure (née Haché),
from Paquetville and later from Shediac, at the age of 105.
Angelina was the daughter of the late Méderic Hache and
Sarah (Fleury) Hache.
Born on October 9th, 1920, she held several jobs, but nothing
gave her more joy than being home with her children. She took pride in
being a homemaker and enjoyed sharing her wisdom and her talents as a
seamstress, quilting, and her love of cooking and baking. She was
really a "femme-à-tout-faire". She loved her
scenic drives and never hesitated to stop for wild blueberry picking
whenever she had a chance even when she was dressed to the nines
— no high heels would stop her. She was affectionately known
by everyone who knew her as "mémère
minou" for her fondness of cats even if you weren't
family.
She will be dearly missed
by her children: Simonne McBeath of Moncton, Norman (Anne-Marie) of
Moncton, Léona Doiron (Donald) of Shediac, Norbert
(Marlene) of Shediac, Alfred of Toronto, Jeanne of Moncton; 11
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three
great-great-grandchildren; a dear friend to the family, Gary Gray; as
well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; her nine siblings;
and her stepdaughter, Elizabeth "Betty"
Bourque.
As per Angelina’s wishes, there will be no
visitation, and funeral service is reserved for the immediate family
only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PAW.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional
care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street,
Shediac (506-532-3297).
