Albert LeBlanc passed away peacefully on Saturday February
14, 2026 at Shannex Ocean Hall in Moncton. He was 71 years of age and
battled Parkinson’s disease for almost 13 years. Born in
Moncton, he was the son of the late Albert and Diane (Bourque)
LeBlanc.
Early in his career, Albert worked with his family at
A&D Variety on Cedar Street. He was a kind and loving person
who was dedicated to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Janice
(Belliveau); one son, Jason; one stepson, Scott Buchanan
(Melissa), Scott’s daughter Hannah (precious
granddaughter) and stepchildren: Aubree and
Leah; one stepdaughter, Kelly Buchanan; one sister,
Francine Phillips (Stafford); as well as extended family of
in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers:
Mike, Gilles and Robert.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at
Shannex Ocean Hall and Dr. Arsenault for their compassion and care.
Albert loved it there and participated in many activities. He really
loved the live music and was known to enjoy dancing in his
wheelchair.
A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held
at a later date. Albert will rest at Frenette Columbarium in Moncton.
In memory of Albert, a contribution can be done to PAW (People for
Animal Wellbeing) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
