Phyllis Gautreau, 85, of Shediac passed away on Saturday February 14, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Catherine (Gallant) Cormier.

She will be missed by her children; Donald (Debbie), Pierre (Sandra), Rhéal (France) all three of Shediac and Terry (Bonnie) of Cap-Pelé; one sister, Jeannita Wilson (late Jim)of Shediac; two brothers: Hervé (late Yvette) and Laurie both of Shediac; ten grandchildren; Stéphanie, Cheryl-Lee, Ryan, Kayla, Tyler, Tyanna, Corey, Annabelle, Marissa and Maya; four great grandchildren: Michael, Cohen, Mia and Carson and one great-great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gérald; her three sons: Paul-Émile, Michel and Rhéal; and her siblings: Thérèse, Jean, Amédée, Emery, Bobby, Prémilia, Gerty and Jeannine.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9am until time of funeral. The funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel of the funeral centre, at 11am. Phyllis will be resting in the Saint-Joseph R.C. cemetery, 415 Main Street, Shediac later in the spring.
