At Maison Providence in Shediac, on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the age of 94, Bertha Landry passed away. Born on October 3, 1931, in Saint-André, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel Landry and the late Alma Babineau.

Bertha was a woman with a big heart and a joyful spirit who loved to laugh, tease, and spoil her nieces and nephews. She lived most of her life in Saint-André with her sister Edith. You never saw one without the other, and together they were well known by everyone.

She is survived by five sisters: her special sister Edith Landry of Shediac, Bella Léger (late Léo) and Adlessa Richard (late Yvon) of Haute-Aboujagane, Dorina Bourgeois (Alfred) of Trenton, ON, and Florine Bourque (late Normand) of Shediac; two brothers: Gérard (late Elda) and Jean (Lois) of Shediac; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her two sisters, Maria and Camilla; and her four brothers: Yvon Landry, Arthur Landry, Ovila Landry, and Emery Landry.

The family would like to thank the staff of Maison Providence Shediac for the exceptional care provided to Bertha.

In memory of Bertha, a donation to the Shediac Clothing Depot (Vestiaire de Shediac) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
