It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Janita Doiron, following a long and courageous battle with illness. She fought with dignity and strength until the very end. She passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on April 15, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Adrice Bourque and the late Rita (Cormier) Bourque.

Janita leaves to mourn a longtime companion who lovingly cared for her throughout her illness, Stanley (B-Boy) Delorey, as well as her children, who were by her side: Lynn (Moril Bourque) and Martine (Gaetan LeBlanc). She also leaves the father of her children, Moril Doiron.

She had an immense love for her grandchildren: Chanelle (Philip), Mylene (Dylan), Alexandre (Janelle), and Yanic. Mémére Shadow deeply adored her great-grandchildren: Jaden, Parker, Jake, Ellie, Nash, Lilly, and Mika; as well as a new little one expected at the end of February, whom she would have loved so much to meet.

She will be deeply missed by her sisters: Rose-Mai (Lloyd Nima) and Rosalita (the late Maurice Melanson), her godchildren: Jocelyne and Jason, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her joy for life was contagious, and she loved spending time socializing with family and friends. Her love, kindness, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on through each of us.

Besides her parents, Janita was predeceased by her brother Normand (the late Huberte) and her sisters Magella (the late Ovila) and Anne-Marie.

The family would like to sincerely thank the Palliative Care team, Dr. Cynthia Savoie and her nurse Emilie, as well as Sophie Cormier, Extra-Mural nurse, for the wonderful care given to our mother, whom we loved dearly. We also wish to thank her friends who came to lend a helping hand throughout her illness. For all your support and kindness, we are deeply grateful.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Thursday February 12, 2026 from 1 to 3 pm only. The funeral will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, NB, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 3p.m.

In memory of Jeanita, a contribution to Hospice SENB (Albert House) would be appreciated or a contribution to the family to help a close friend of Janita.
