Camilla (LeBlanc)
Cormier, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away peacefully, surrounded by
the love of her family, on January 28, 2026. She was the beloved
daughter of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Boudreau)
LeBlanc.
Camilla was,
above all, a woman of great heart, deeply devoted to her family, who
always remained at the centre of her life. She found immense joy in
life’s simple pleasures and in the moments shared with those
she loved.
She enjoyed
knitting, quilting (hand-stitching blankets), and doing puzzles in her
pastimes that reflected her patience, gentleness, and attention to
detail. An avid card player, she especially enjoyed playing 200,
Rummy, and Golf. Camilla also cherished the many adventures shared
with her family, including camping, nature walks, fishing, and
blueberry picking, memories that will forever be treasured by those
who knew her. A true lover of music, she enjoyed listening to live
music, especially at jam de la HA, and always kept the radio playing
at home, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who
visited.
Camilla will be
deeply missed by her nine children: Francis Cormier (Sylvia), Yolande
Gallant (Normand), Omer Cormier (Louise), Lauta Roy (Lawrence),
Abbé Cormier (Gloria), Angèle MacLean (Ronald
"Speedy"), Gélas Cormier (Diane), Clarence
Cormier (Lise), and Carole Story (Andy); by her sisters and brothers:
Jeannine Melanson, Cécile Léger, Claire Cormier,
Fernande Melanson, Claudia Léger, Diane LeBlanc, Marie-Anne
Guenette, Liliane Lupien, Gérald, and Adrice; as well as by
her many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; as well by her nieces and
nephews.
Besides her
parents, Camilla was predeceased by her beloved husband, Olivier
(2013); her son Aldoria (2017); granddaughter, Renée; and
by her brothers and sisters: Yolande, Marie-Jeanne, Clorice, Roger,
Émile, and Eugène.
In memory of
