Clara worked as a merchandise buyer at Creaghan’s of New Brunswick, for many years and also at Co-op Atlantic for several years later. She was an accomplished seamstress and she also loved to do quilting, needlepoint and knitting hobbies as well. She spent many happy hours working in the garden at their homestead in Scoudouc with her husband Joseph.

Clara will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Jacqueline MacKenzie (Richard) of Maitland, N.S., and Linda Jaillet (Eloi) of Dieppe; three grandchildren: Jeffrey (Kim) of Riverview, Stephen (Jennifer) of Moncton, and Jennifer of Dieppe; three great-grandchildren: Carter, Bennet and Yanix; one sister, Jeannine Boudreau of Cap-Pelé; one sister-in-law, Louise Wilchuck of Truro, N.S.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph (2018); five sisters: Louisa, Corinne, Desanges, Annie, and infant Thérèse; as well as one brother, Edouard.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of the residence "O" Bons Soins and the Orthopedic Unit at The Moncton Hospital for their wonderful care provided to Clara.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday February 13 at 11 am. Interment will be in Shediac parish cemetery. In memory of Clara, a contribution can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
