At the Villa Providence of Shediac, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, Elda Landry passed away at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late Dosithé and Dométilde (Hébert) Bourque.

Elda worked as a caregiver for 23 years at Villa Providence Shediac Inc. She greatly enjoyed quilting. Elda was a woman of deep faith.

She is survived by her husband of 77 years, Gérard; her daughter, Lynda (Mitch) Fougère of Lakeville; her son, Emery (Lianne) Landry of Peterborough, Ontario; her granddaughter, Keri; her three grandsons: Ryan, Stewart, and Bryan; as well as one sister, Lorraine (Horace) Gallant.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Angie Caissie; two sons: Gérald Landry and Francis Landry; two sisters: Elizabeth (Alfred) Babineau and Bertha (Guillaume) Caissie; two brothers: Ernest (Jeannine) Bourque and Joseph "Joe" (Antoinette) Bourque; as well as a granddaughter, Gabrielle.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), on Thursday, January 15, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac. Interment will take place in the Saint-Joseph Cemetery in Shediac in the spring.
