Bernice Roy, 63, of Moncton, passed away peacefully with her sister by her side, on Saturday January 3, 2026 at the Dr Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late J. Leo and Rita (Hébert) Boucher.

She is survived by her children: April Gallant (Matthew) and Corey Roy; step-children: Tania Pelletier (Kevin) and Christopher Gallant (Nicole); her granddaughter, Savannah; her siblings: Patricia Boucher, Pierre Boucher (Christine) and Dave Boucher (Yuki); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and "adopted" children who she took under her wing.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Jeannette and Edith; and three brothers: Paul, Robert and Laurie.

A special thank you to Nathalie and all the other case workers at the YWCA for all their care and compassion given to Bernice.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday January 8 from 9:30 to 11 am only. A sharing of memories will take place at 10:45 am. Interment will take place in the St-Anselme parish cemetery. In memory of Bernice, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or the YWCA would be appreciated.
