It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, and mémére, Gisele Arsenault, at the age of 73 years. Born in Moncton, she was the cherished daughter of the late Edmond and Rita (LeBlanc) Melanson.

Gisele will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, Victor Arsenault; her daughter, Julie Logan (Brad); her son, Michel Arsenault (Cindy Dawe); her sisters: Pauline Martin and Jeannette Melanson; her brothers: Gerry Melanson, John Melanson, and Louis Melanson; as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Finn and Penny Logan, as well as Violet, Ozzie, and Jacob Dawe-Arsenault.

A graduate of Vanier High School, she spent her working years committed to a career in the federal government. She was renowned for her exceptional cooking, she found joy in every meal she prepared and in doing anything for her children and grandchildren.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900), on Thursday January 8 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday January 9 from 9:30 until time of departure (10:30). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Friday January 9, at 11 am. In memory of Gisele, donations may be made to Moncton Headstart Inc.

Words of comfort and donation can be made at www.frenettefuneralhome.com

Gisele will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
