At Villa Providence of Shediac, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Yvon Lirette passed away at the age of 91. Born in Robichaud, he was the son of the late Philias and Martha (Lirette) Lirette.

He is survived by four sisters: Albertine Beers (Tim), Lucille Cormier (Paul), Murielle Lirette (Marc), and Florence Lirette; two brothers: Roger (Rosemarie) and Arsène; a step-granddaughter Shawna Simpson of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Simpson (2017); four sisters: Maria, Rita, Céleste, and Léontine; two brothers, both named Francis; and a stepson, Brian (Corinne) Simpson of Moncton.

The family would like to thank Unit 5200 of Villa Providence Inc., Shediac, as well as Dr. Ross, for the excellent care provided to Yvon.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home and no funeral service.

In memory of Yvon, a donation to Villa Providence Inc., Shediac, would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
